


DR. PETER F. CRONAU
Veterinary
Born in 1942, son of Dr. agr. Fritz Cronau, vice chairman of the National Stud Farm Dillenburg, grown up in Southern Germany, where he nished High School.
Dr. Cronau graduated in 1969 at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, where he got later his doctor degree. Dr. Cronau has founded the Equine Sports medical Centre in Bochum in 1973 and worked as managing director for more than 3 decades. This centre is one of the biggest private centers in Germany and has a worldwide reputation. 82 veterinaries from the entire world have been educated and studied in Bochum. In 1993 the rst computersupported radiographic technology in Germany has been introduced.
From 1990 to 1998 Dr. Cronau acted as President of the FEI -Veterinary Committee - the world governing body of Equestrian Sport. He was reelected from 116 nations in 1994 without any dissenting vote. He acted for 13 years as President of the Veterinary Commission of the CHIO in Aachen – one of the most prestigious Horse Show of the world.
He acted overall in 8 Olympic Games as team veterinarian and other obligations for numerous nations, such as Germany, UK, South Korea, Sweden, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Ukraine, Philippines, Libya, Egypt, U.S.A., Brasil, Austria, and Japan and recently as veterinary consultant of the German 3-day event team, which won the Team Gold at the Olympic Games in London.
